In the world of music, the name Roy Smeck might not get all the attention that it truly deserves. The city of Portland is one of the treasures of the great Northwest. It’s not the biggest city, but does have a special place in many hearts for being the most charming. For many travelers, it’s a bit of a hidden gem, with all the great things about a strong urban center, but small enough to be manageable. It’s still large enough to get lost in, and many people do wind up moving here, in order to find a quieter place to do their work.
