What are Smokeless Cigarettes?
20th February 2011
Have you seen a smokeless cigarette yet? Many people think they are as mythical as a unicorn, something that smokers dream of but doesn’t actually exist. Except that they do exist. And they are growing in popularity as more smokers recognize the benefits of leaving behind their traditional smokes.
The appeal of smokeless cigarettes lies in their name. They are not smoked and do not generate smoke, which means that they don’t endanger the health of others. They are more accurately described as an electric cigarette. They are electric devices that convert a water and nicotine solution into a puff of atomized air that is inhaled by the user. This solution may include flavoring, but will not include tobacco, tar, or any of the hazardous fillers that are commonly used in traditional cigarettes.
These e cigarettes have other advantages. There is no smoke to stain the teeth or make the clothes and furniture smell. There are no ashes to deal with and no threat of fire from unattended cigarettes. Most smokers are also delighted to find that, because they don’t have smoke, e cigarettes don’t fall under smoking bans in public places. This means that e cigs can be savored at the movies, in restaurants, and in most of the other places that have banned traditional cigarettes.
