The lessons learned in a life devoted to natural healing take form in many different guises.  There are unexpected moments when an insight into the body becomes useful in other areas.  These moments are particularly instrumental in the path of spiritual growth, where everything becomes a reflection of everything else.  It would certainly not make a lot of sense to apply the kinds of knowledge that homeopathic medicine can bring, for example, to a car problem.  But there are certain applications that suggest these things are connected after all.

 

A car, like a body, is a system, or interconnected series of systems.  A problem in one area can easily turn into a problem in another area, and a breakdown is often significant in showing there is something wrong with the core.  There are times when things are exactly what they appear to be, however.  A flat tire, or a worn windshield wiper don’t necessarily point to any deeper issues, but are only there to be fixed.  This is likened to a scratch on one’s arm, or a sprained foot.  A buick online repair manual becomes like any basic first aid guide, and can be enormously useful in taking care of something rather simple.

 

There are other moments, however, when the deeper issues come to the surface in the form of rather simple symptoms.  A knocking in the engine can be any number of things, from trouble with the timing, to a combustion issue, to an inability to make the proper use of the fuel.  The body also has these ways of letting us know that something is wrong, and there may be something that needs addressing in one of the systems on a deep level.

 

It’s just as important, then, to listen to what the body is saying as one would pay attention to the sounds a car makes on a long trip.  This is a particularly useful metaphor, because the body is the vehicle for a life, and once one begins listening to its rhythms, it’s much easier to recognize distress, and take care of simple troubles as they come up.  The problem with contemporary culture is that we are trained to see the body as a vehicle, but one that can be used and abused.  When there is a breakdown, we assume that a doctor or a mechanic will take care of it, so we don’t have to.  Learning about how we function, and how we heal, using natural wisdom and natural medicine, we can not only avoid larger problems, but also avoid many of the smaller inconveniences as well.

Learning at Home with NOVA and Flash Cards

Television programs like the recently started NOVA series, Fabric of the Cosmos are incredible learning tools and inspirational shows that contribute to our learning and enrich our lives. In addition, and particularly with the example given above, these educational programs are also incredibly interesting and fun to watch. And when you make a family night out of a bowl of popcorn and sitting together watching a program such as What is Time, this can not only increase family bonds and strengthen relationships, but you’ll be surprised what it can do for your children’s academic studies. And if you’re interested in incorporating these and other shows into your children’s learning structure, you can actually plan ahead and discuss homework topics while watching. You might have to be a bit strategic about weaving your child’s physics homework into an evening of television, but it can, has and will continue to be done.

For example, if you purchase some flash cards that deal with math, physics or astronomy, or even make your own if you’re feeling particularly industrious, and make a fun activity oriented evening out of them, it will not only help solidify the associated lesson in your child, but will entice them into further studies. Whenever learning is incorporated into play, family activities and fun, it will greatly increase your child’s learning and even interest in studying. And if you have more children in the same age group, or class topics, you can even create a competitive association, though of course this can cause other issues, so be aware of academic competition with your children. However, when it’s all in good spirit and a community oriented activity, you’ll be amazed at how easy it is to get your children to pay attention.

Imagine the possibilities with introducing them to the basic concepts, or even idea, of quantum mechanics. Even if the math and program topics go well beyond your own educational background, you can use these physics games to help your child, and maybe even yourselves, become comfortable with the subject. And if you include a great PBS program like NOVA in your plan, you’ll have the expertise and enthusiasm of Brian Greene to guide you along. And who knows, you might be well on the way to inspiring the next generation’s Einstein. If you have the ability to unite the theories of television time among two opposing family members, one of them just might find the unifying theory of everything, one day. And at the very least, you might be creating a couple of entangled particles , but that’s no surprise. How often do your children have exactly the opposite response to your suggestions, instructions and ideas anyway?

Everyone is familiar with the term IT and understands that is has something to do with computers and computing. Anyone who has ever worked in a corporate office knows that making friends with someone in the IT department means that they will always get bumped to the top of the list when there’s a problem with their computer, phone, or other tech device. But ask the average person what an IT professional does and the response will usually be “something to do with computers or software.” And that’s all most people want to know — that there is someone they can call to magically fix any and all problems they have with the technology they rely on to do their jobs.

Humans have a tendency to refer to anything that is beyond their understanding as “magic” but there is actually nothing magical about information technology. It is completed rooted in science. New Nissan Leaf is Purely Electric

The automobile market has been constantly changing since cars were first invented and it will continue to change as new types of cars are designed. The latest trend in car manufacturing is the electric vehicle or EV. These cars run solely on electricity and have to be plugged in to charge the battery. The benefit to an electric vehicle is that it saves an incredible amount of money on gas and it produces very low emissions.

Nissan has just announced their new form of electric car, the Leaf. It is a purely electric vehicle and has already gotten people talking, as it has sold over 4,000 cars thus far and sales are expected to continue increasing. The Leaf qualifies for the $5,000 rebate in California and it also qualifies for a carpool sticker, both of which are huge benefits for drivers, especially in the state of California. The Leaf is priced at $33,360 and it has been shown that only 15% of drivers are leasing the car, meaning an overwhelming majority of people want to own the car, rather than simply test it out.

The Nissan Leaf is a brand new model but tire outfitters are keeping up with the trends as well. Many places now have tires for sale and rims for sale for the new electric cars and are able to accommodate new electric vehicles.

Many other car manufacturers are coming out with new electric vehicles or some sort of plug-in hybrid vehicle. Some of the new models that are expected to hit the road are the Chevrolet Volt, the Mitsubishi iMiEV, the Ford Focus Electric, the Toyota Prius plug-in hybrid, and the Honda Fit EV. These are all brand new models which are expected to revolutionize the car market and create a whole new demand for electric and hybrid vehicles. Although these cars seem expensive at face value, they end up saving the owner incredible amounts of money compared to how much money they would be spending on gas.

Install & Maintain a Swing Set

Christmas isn’t the only time that parents are faced with a bunch of parts and a deadline for putting it all together into some toy or other childhood object.
